Ottavio Cinquanta, former ISU President, has died

This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.

The ISU obituary for Mr. Cinquanta: https://www.isu.org/isu-news/news/145-n ... teParam=15

Probably the only ISU President I will ever be able to say that I booed at a live event.

Well, I don't want to say anything bad about the dead. So it's purely coincidental that I may visit my favourite restaurant and have a very good meal later today.

Oh that's too bad, but I don't think he was a favourite of very many skating fans. He was a controversial figure no doubt.

It was very good. It's a great dish they serve with slivered carrots and beets with other things in separate sections of the dish, more or less and a lemon-tahini dressing that is nicely acidic and goes so well with the optional tofu rectangles which are floured and seasoned with salt before frying. It's sensational and healthy too.
