The Stars on Ice performance scheduled for FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton on Saturday, October 16th will be recorded as a national television special slated to air later in 2021.

The skaters have been in Halifax this week rehearsing for tonight's opening night of the tour. Jeffrey Buttle choreographed the group numbers for the US tour and the Canadian tour. The theme is "Journey".

Great! I'm still stinging from the cancellation of the holiday ice show, that was a Christmas gift to go with my sister in Manitoba. Unfortunately this Stars on Ice can't come here due to limitations with our arena. They've talked about getting a new arena, and I hope it's sooner rather than later. Winnipeg is the closest...oh well, lol.

I went to the Ottawa show yesterday. It was scheduled to start at 4 p.m. but, due to power/technical issues, there was a delay of more than 1/2 an hour. We were leaving the parking lot about 7:20 p.m.

Obviously the cast was getting a bit bored "standing about" waiting to go on


When the show did start, it was, in my opinion, a great one. There were group numbers to start and finish each half (all choreographed by Jeff Buttle) and there were some transitions between numbers.

As with the show in Halifax, Kaetlyn Osmond did not skate. In Halifax it was announced that she was "under the weather" - in Ottawa it was just announced that she would not be skating.

With the exception of Jeff Buttle, who only did one number (in the 2nd 1/2), everyone else did two numbers. Only a couple of the numbers were familiar, with one being a "blast from the past" from Kurt - his wonderful Nyah program.

• English - Sunday, December 11 @ 8 p.m.
• French - Friday, December 9 @ 7 p.m.
