However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.
Mitchell Islam posted on Twitter recently that he asked the "girl of his dreams" to marry him and she said yes. He and his former ice-dance partner, Alexandra Paul, are engaged
Mitchell is now coaching at Mariposa and a team that he coaches, with his father, competed at this weekend's JGP event. I believe Alexandra is also doing some coaching but they have also both been continuing academic pursuits.

Alexandra & Mitch's wedding was twice delayed due to pandemic issues but took place over the past weekend. Many well-known skaters attended and posted photos on their Instagram feed. This one from the evening reception is from Olivia Smart, ice dancer representing Spain.
