
The 2021 U.S. Championships will take place at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jan. 12-20. This will competition feature only junior and senior skaters. No spectators will be in attendance.
Skaters — other than those with a bye — qualified for these Championships via virtual competitions which took place during the fall of 2020. The top nine scorers in the senior singles disciplines and the top six in pairs advanced to the Championships. In juniors, the top 12 scorers in the singles disciplines, top eight in pairs and top 10 in ice dance advanced.
U.S. Figure Skating has set aside two days for practice sessions (Jan. 12 and 13). The senior Championship gets underway on Jan. 14 with the pairs and ladies short programs. Everyone in attendance (skater, official, media, etc.) will have to submit to two COVID tests for the senior events and another one for the juniors. The junior championship begins Wed. Jan. 20.
