Updates from ISU Council meeting of June 15, 2020

This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.

Updates from ISU Council meeting of June 15, 2020

Post by Elizabeth »

There is already considerable impact to the ISU for both speed skating and figure skating due to the COVID-19 situation and more is possible. An online meeting was held on June 15th and a number of decisions were taken. A couple of highlights:
  • Riga, Latvia, will now host the sixth JGP following the cancellation of events in Canada and Slovakia.
  • The new Scale of Values, GOE and PC marking guidelines that were announced in May have been suspended and will not be used this coming season.
  • TES minimums for the 2019/20 season will remain in place for 2020/21 season (see below).

The next Council meeting is scheduled for July 6th, 2020.
