Status of upcoming skating competitions - Canada & internationally

This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.

Status of upcoming skating competitions - Canada & internationally

Post by Elizabeth »

All sporting events have been cancelled in Montreal until early July in Quebec. Rinks remain closed. The Quebec Summer Championships, set to take place Aug. 6-9, 2020, have therefore been cancelled. Read the announcement (in French) here: https://patinage.qc.ca/wp-content/uploa ... l-2020.pdf

I suspect this is only the first such announcement so I've made this thread "generic".

In their official cancellation announcement for Worlds, the ISU made reference to pending changes to events in the upcoming season as well:
