Brian Orser had to have gallbladder surgery in Regina

This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.

Brian Orser had to have gallbladder surgery in Regina

As announced by Tracy Wilson during yesterday's TV broadcast, Brian Orser went to hospital yesterday with "stomach issues". It was decided that he needed emergency gallbladder surgery. It was originally intended for last night but was delayed until today.

Here's the latest, from David Baden of IMG via Twitter:
Brian Orser had successful galbladder surgery this morning. Laparoscopic, no complications, resting comfortably Hospital release by tomorrow

Orser was with Stephen Gogolev as he won sr. SP at sectionals here with 4Sal-3toe. He won't be 13 until Dec. And Orser looked great.

Thanks for the video. Wow, I didn't realize he's still 12. I'm glad Brian looks so good. It looks like Stephen is about 5-4....here we go again growth spirt problems. I do believe he's Canada's upcoming star in the wings though.

An update on Brian Orser ...I have confirmed that he did not make the trip to Osaka, but is doing well and will return to the Grand Prix circuit next week at the Internationaux de France in Grenoble.
