Sectionals - qualifying for Canadians

This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.

Sectionals - qualifying for Canadians

Post by Elizabeth »

For those who have to qualify to compete at Novice, Junior and Senior levels, the sectional events will be held across Canada in the first half of November:
  • NOVEMBER 3-5 - Quebec Sectional Championships, Boucherville, QC
  • NOVEMBER 4-5 - Manitoba Sectional Championships, Virden, MB
  • NOVEMBER 10-11 - Newfoundland/Labrador Sectional Championships, Mount Pearl, NL
There are exemptions or "byes" for certain skaters, e.g. members of the National Team, etc.

Canadians will take place on the Campus of UBC in Vancouver from January 8 through 14, 2018.

The competition in Oakville is being streamed right now. They have been showing the novice and pre-novice ladies on rinks 1 and 2 respectively.
