This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.

Wow, cool!!

Now one of the pairs skaters was a roller skating champion before taking up ice skating...who was that again, anyone know?

In more recent times, that would be the Italian pair, Della Monica & Guarise (particularly him).

Going back a ways, that would be Tara Lipinski :)

It would also be Denney & Frazier of the USA - skating with each other both as roller skaters and as figure skaters.

Very interesting, thanks. Oh yeah, they mentioned that about Tara being that as well. It reminds me of Emanuel Sandhu and his movement from dance to skating...a little different there, lol, but still to be a champion in one sport and then in another too is pretty amazing even if they are slightly related.
