Just Checking....

This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.

Just Checking....

Post by CarolH »

I have a friend who does NOT have a TV. She doesn't want a TV.
However, she is a SKATING FAN and would like to *see* Tessa & Scott's skating from the last 2 nights.
Is there a link posted anywhere that would show her their programs. She tried to go into CBC and found nothing.
Perhaps it's too early for these links to be posted.

Hi Carol. The FS is here: https://olympics.cbc.ca/video/todays-ev ... ree-dance/ I imagine the SP is there too somewhere.

I ran into problems using Internet Explorer and perhaps that is what is happening with your friend. She needs to use another browser such as Google Chrome. That's the one I'm using for all videos because with IE it tells me "we are experiencing technical difficulties".

The videos also work with the Firefox browser which Fred recommended to me many years ago :)

I'm having no trouble with Mozilla Firefox. However I'm also running Linux MINT and I have access to codecs for video files that others probably don't. Anyway, I expect if CBC didn't want us to watch them, they wouldn't put them up there. I go to CBC.ca and there's a menu. i select Olympics and then there's a thin-ish sort of blue banner across the top. I choose videos. and there are categories, but I just learnt yesterday that those categories scroll horizontally abd there ar many more there than what you can see on the computer screen. I missed some women's hockey games because I didn't see that for a week and a half. I wait till morning and only watch the sports I'm interested in and the ones where we did good. :D :o
