I have made the decision to retire from competitive skating.
Thank you so much for everyone who has supported and cheered for me as a competitor up until today.
I met skating when I was five years old and I have been able to continue skating for the following 21 years. I am very grateful to have had a wonderful career.
On May 14, I will hold a press conference to announce my retirement and I will talk about my thoughts and future activities there.

Shoma will be missed! He is/was such an amazing competitor and I'm glad I was able to see him skate in person.
