We heard on today's live stream broadcast that Mark Hanretty, after being trained while working beside Ted Barton in Courcheval, will be taking the hosting & commentating for this event on his own. Ted has a "national event" commitment in Canada that conflicts.

The event kicked off at 5:30 a.m. EDT with the Jr. Men SP and the Pairs SP is now about to start. Mark Hanretty is on his own this week with Ted back in Canada and apparently involved with the high performance/national team camp.

Canada's first medal of the 2022-23 Junior Grand Prix season

I enjoyed watching the Men's event today. There's a lot of talent there!

For those who are interested in such things, Ravia Walia, a well-known Canadian coach, is serving as one of the two Technical Specialists for the Jr Women at this event. You may notice that there is no longer a Technical Specialist and an Assistant TS - this was one of the changes approved at the meeting in Thailand earlier this year.
