Breaking news - it appears that we will be able to watch the European Championships via the ISU Skating Channel since there are no television rights for Canada. [NBC holds rights for the USA.]

The channel is here: https://www.eurovisionsports.tv/isu/sin ... ice-dance/

The full schedule - Moscow time - is here: http://www.isuresults.com/schedules/ec2 ... hedule.pdf
Moscow is 8 hours ahead of Eastern Time in Canada and the USA.

From the ISU website for the competition you can find the participants' biographies, music, planned program content, etc.: http://www.isu.org/events/eventdetail/1 ... mpionships

The ISU channel is providing great live stream video! In addition to the "current vs leader" technical score tracker, which is actually showing base value +GOE scores as each element is completed, they are showing the list of planned elements for the program as the skater introductions are being done!

Both are very interesting and informative articles. I am really curious about the whole Russian dilemma, how it will work out. In my opinion the ban has been watered down quite a bit and should some of the allowed athletes win medals - the Russian Sports Organizations will just laugh in the faces of serious, serious accusations. I for one will always wonder - were they clean or not. And I am sure Russia is not the only country trying to cheat at any spots event. Nevertheless - roll on Olympics!

I agree, Heini - interestingly, it was reported earlier this week that a large group of Russian competitors had withdrawn from an event when the drug testers arrived!

I have personally been unhappy about some of the judging at the Europeans - especially the assignment of +GOE for messy/missed elements. I believe this contributed to the final result in Pairs :(

The whole thing is Western propaganda. There is no cheating going on from Russia that doesn't go on from any large nation. Very likely less.
