Wow, what achievements! I got out of breath just reading this article, and must admit while I have been an ardent fan, many of these "firsts" had been lost in my memory. Once again, thank you Elizabeth for keeping us on our toes - virtually of course.

That's really something!! i knew Don was the first to land a triple Axel, but the first triple jump in '58 was previously unknown to me. Barbara Ann Scott got her name in there a few times, as well. I wish I had known all of her achievements when I got to speak with her at Minto. Of course I think i was already sufficiently impressed. All of them helped define our Canadian identity. What a great job they've done.
