That's wonderful. We need to make racism and even mild racism a thing of the past. There are times when we take our white privilege for granted and we don't even notice when we walk down a city street and *don't* get stopped for an ID check. We don't notice, but Black people always have to wonder, and it happens in Canada too, not just the U.S.
Whether it's equality for Black people, or Islamic people, Indigenous people, Jewish people, women or LGBT people, I hope to have the strength to stand with them. The recovery from the pandemic has to be more than health solutions. It has to be holistic, humanist decisions and a restructuring of society and the economy to bring us closer together. It's really important for all our futures and the futures of the next generation and all those to follow.
