Lubov and Charlie: Dreamy Future

This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.

An update after the completion of their first season: https://www.ifsmagazine.com/ilyushechki ... ng-curves/

They appear to be "in it" for the long term.

I am sorry we won't see them at worlds this year, but it's probably the best thing for them to get back to the hard work of refining the elements, rather than putting their emphasis on full programs. As I watched them this season, it appeared that their overall elements became weaker in each successive competition. At 4CC, even their lifts were failing. I think there was too much push too soon, and this situation will make them better. I expect them to come out very strong in the autumn season.

I concur with your assessment, Kevin. Are you going to be at Worlds in person?

You know, I wish more than anything that I could be there. My best friend lives in Montreal, and she has free tickets to Worlds!! I, however, have a solo concerto performance with the symphony running the same week as Worlds, so I can't even consider taking the week off :(
