At a press conference in Moscow today she was named an official ambassador for Team Russia at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo!

The main role of the Ambassador of the Olympic team is to support and be with the team.

You will recall that at the 2018 winter Olympics Evgenia competed as an "Olympic Athlete from Russia" but apparently she was part of a delegation which lobbied the IOC at the end of those Games, for the reinstatement of Team Russia.
