Prior to the 2020 Worlds in Montreal, Skate Canada has started a 10 part series of articles reflecting back on previous Worlds hosted in Canada.

The first article is about the 1932 Worlds which were actually also held in Montreal: https://montreal2020.com/worlds-rewind-montreal-1932/

Did you know that was the first year that Japanese skaters competed? How times have changed!

Some of them certainly look more "mature" than today's competitors, especially the young ladies from Russia!

I was also thinking that they looked a bit more "dressed up" than what we see being worn at the banquets at competitions these days

Part 2 of the Skate Canada "Worlds rewind" series leading up to Worlds 2020 in Montreal is about Vancouver 1960: https://montreal2020.com/worlds-rewind-vancouver-1960/

Donald Jackson was making some history for Canada as was the pairs team of Wagner & Paul.
