Thanks so much Elizabeth. I hope to watch some of the skating today now that I am back home. It makes me a little sad that Thornhill is no more, but I know it was a hard competition to get to if you were from out of town. You had to stay in Markham and there are seemingly no hotels in Thornhill, only a Bed and Breakfast. It was problematic iykwim.
Have a great Friday!

I've been watching the live stream off and on - both the North American (Novice) events and the Ontario sectional events. I watched the short programs of the senior women and men this evening - Keegan Messing was amazing for this early in the season!!
Here's Keegan's SP, in case you missed it:

I was going to post the same thing about Keegan!! I would not be surprised if he gets a world medal this year, or at least is close to it in the top 5!! He keeps getting better despite that he's on the older side for a skater just reaching his peak!

Thanks for posting the video of Keegan's short Elizabeth. He is a bit of Scotty, Kurt and Patrick--with his own personality and little nuances-- in one compact package. I absolutely love him!

That’s true that he is a bit like Kurt!
Any word what’s happening with Roman and why he withdrew?

He's great. All the champion skaters that have been named who he has pieces of, I thought I could see also a little Brian Orser in his skate as well about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way through. He still takes a pause before jumping though, and most of the skaters he may have pieces of just threw those jumps in without hesitation. I expect he'll get there in time.
