Some OLD Skating Videos....good stuff -hope I posted correctly

This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.

Some OLD Skating Videos....good stuff -hope I posted correctly

Post by CarolH »

Hi Ho Skating Fans:
I found this site today when an email came in and all sorts of wonderful little videos were waiting on the Right side of the page.
I know I have most of this on DVD --- but it’s wonderful to see it all again.
If you have time, enjoy the look back at some fantastically talented kids who climbed almost to the top, and usually were
Taken down by injury. I still miss Tiffany and Johnny Steigler as a Pair team.

It’s also interesting to see some of the coaches that worked with those talented kids.
Wonder why they don’t mention the coaches names when the currant crop of kids are performing – or at least when they
are in the KISS and CRY area.

The second try works just fine, Carol. You must have put it between the [url] markers :)

Thanks for sharing! It's an "off week" and folks might be in skating withdrawal!

This one isn't actually old but it references one of the old ones above: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfBxbmft5ww

[It's a commercial for Aldi, a chain of stores in the UK, and references the 2018 Olympics :) ]

Love it!!
(for the purists Aldi is actually a German chain started by two brothers who still live very frugally in their old homes - I think one of them has died)

Yes - Aldi started in Germany but it is now international including Great Britain, even having a presence in Australia, China, and the USA. Check out: https://www.aldi.com/ and https://www.aldi.co.uk/

not to go too far off topic - we always enjoyed shopping at Aldi for "German goodies" when we spent time in Portugal.
