The news broke last evening of the death of Canadian singing/songwriting legend Gordon Lightfoot and tributes began to flood in online.

It's very sad that Gordon Lightfoot passed away...such a Canadian Icon. I remember him on Canadian Idol 2 after his recovery from severe illness, many years ago. It was a miracle he survived before and lived for so many years afterwards. He will definitely be missed!
