There will also be a Lifetime Achievement Award and Special Achievement Award presented. The criteria for the first: "Honors a Figure Skating legend having achieved great success and popularity and is considered as a role model for the Figure Skating World." The criteria for the second: "Honors a Single Skater or Pair or Ice Dance Couple who makes history by successfully performing a new / special / unique element or move or achieves something extraordinary at an ISU Event in 2022 (GP 2021 accepted) and pushes the boundaries of the sport."

The initial selection was through an on-line selection phase in December 2022, open to the public and the media, with the final selections to be made by a "star-studded jury" of up to 6 former figure skating champions. The identities of the Jury members, presided by ISU Council member Mr. Gyorgy Elek, were revealed on 25 January:

Thanks. I was able to watch part of it, the first streaming I watched on my new laptop. It was so much clearer and Ilia Malinin's eyes are beautiful. It's funny the first thing one notices. All the winners were very worthy of their award.
