In a remarkable turn of events; Deanna Stellato won international gold today for the first time since the Junior Grand Prix Final of 1999-2000 when she won the singles event! You may recall that she retired due to injury after that, returning in 2016 to pair with Nathan Bartholomay of the US and then moving to Canada to pair with Maxime in 2019. They are coached by Josée Picard, a long-time successful pairs coach.

Skate Canada's medal run didn't carry through the Women's event Maddie Schizas went down 3 times for a -4 deduction and finishing off the podium

Another happy couple with their medals

In the competition for the Fritz Geiger Memorial Trophy (for national teams), Canada took gold, Ukraine took silver, and the USA took bronze.

Rounding off Day 3 is the Exhibition Gala which is being livestreamed - in the middle of the 2nd 1/2, the young commentator of the event will be performing with his ice dance partner (#19).
