I've read they are going to try to get him on a plane tomorrow. Perhaps that's overly optimistic if he still has to pass two more COVID tests.Elizabeth wrote: Fri Feb 04, 2022 10:51 am
From Twitter this morning:He is NOT on a plane yet but they remain hopeful.Skate Canada officials say Keegan Messing has passed two covid tests. Has to pass two more before he can fly to Beijing. Finding him a flight that goes through one of the required four global hubs also a nightmare.
I believe that some of the Canadian curlers may be leaving on that time frame - the testing has to be done within a specific # of hours prior to flight and then again on arrival. Keeping my fingers crossed for Keegan!kittykins wrote: Fri Feb 04, 2022 5:51 pmI've read they are going to try to get him on a plane tomorrow. He arrives tomorrow morning, in time for the men's program.
Keegan Messing has passed his fourth and final PCR test for COVID 19 and is flying from Montreal through Milan to Beijing and will be on the ground on Feb 7. He competes in the mens short program on Feb. 8

Keegan AND his skates arrivedkittykins wrote: Mon Feb 07, 2022 12:53 am I'm very glad to hear that Keegan arrived in China about 2 hours ago! Whew, that was very close for comfort!
Poor Keegan and his skates going missing all the time...travel must be so stressful for skaters. He sure has a good attitude though. He's very strong mentally, sort of like Elvis Stojko in my opinion. It leads to him going with the flow and consistent performances.
