There seem to have been some technical difficulties at the beginning of the broadcast today but, thankfully, we DO have access to the ISU YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6kg-7yaR8tc, at least for the Pairs SP.
I understand that it may have been a power surge or similar in the building and they have lost some features, like the on screen graphics.

Glad to hea there is a reason for the lack of graphics, as I was thinking this is deplorable CBC. Hope it gets sorted out soon!

They now have graphics on the ISU YouTube feed where the commentator this week is Simon Reid. The Men SP:

I have both feeds running and CBC feed is about a minute behind the ISU!!!

Based on the wrap-up at the end of the CBC feed, it seems that Ted Barton, as the host, is in a studio. For the Men he had Kevin Reynolds with him. Elladj Balde was joining in from home (?). Patrick Chan was in the arena.
The opening ceremonies are on the ISU YouTube feed now - coming up next will be the RD:

If you don't already know the results of yesterday's rhythm dance or Men or Women SP, clicking on the links to the Bev Smith article below will "spoil" you....
There's also a link to the Skate Canada press release after yesterday's competition.

Thanks Elizabeth.
Danielle Earl has really become a great photographer for SC. Is she doing a calendar do you know?

See my post in the "broadcasting team" thread about some of the issues regarding the live streams yesterday.
The CBC stream should be live today and we are apparently still getting access to that of the ISU. Links, by event, are here:
https://www.youtube.com/c/SkatingISU/featured
CBC TV coverage is also on today and tomorrow - on TV or via stream. See the relevant tabs here:
https://www.cbc.ca/sports/olympics/wint ... /broadcast
The organizers are trying to maintain the "bubble" for the skaters and officials, including essentially dividing the arena into two halves with "no trespassing" into the other half. Similarly, separate areas are maintained at the official hotel, particularly to protect some of the younger skaters who have not (yet) received vaccines. It has now been reported that Nathan Chen's coach stayed at the arena to watch after the Men's SP and somehow inadvertently strayed outside his bubble - his accreditation was taken away; he was moved to a different hotel area; and he won't be with Nathan at the boards or in the Kiss 'n Cry today.

As mentioned in the post above - as if we needed more "challenges" or reasons to "blame Canada":
Nathan Chen’s coach loses Skate Canada accreditation over “inadvertently” violating Covid “bubble” protocols

The event is over, the TV coverage has all been shown, except for the Gala which CBC will show at
1 a.m. on November 7th! I watched the live stream of everything, including the Gala - the next best thing to being there in person
