This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.
I thoroughly enjoyed last night's premiere episode where we got to meet all the competitors. Only 6 of the 7 couples performed - Violetta & PJ were given a "pass" due to his late replacement of Colby. The latter made a great judge!

Colby Armstrong was so popular/did so well in his guest judge appearance last week that he has been confirmed as a regular judge for the remainder of the BOTB series.
Guest judges tonight (Sept. 26th) will be the one and only Barb Underhill
and Darcy Tucker, retired NHL player
Darcy, based on the photo he posted on Twitter, apparently did some figure skating in his younger years - they're already trying to get him to compete in the next season!
I am so impressed with the quality of skating by all teams. It is amazing what those hockey players can do. I feel sorry for Eric, but Amanda was still quite tentative and "stiff". She was so concentrating on her moves she wasn't able to smile. And, one pair will be eliminated each week. It's tough to be the first one.
I am very impressed with how well Sheldon Kennedy is doing. I really liked the Smile performance.
"At the sound of his roar, sorrows will be no more, When he bares his teeth, winter meets its death, And when he shakes his mane, we shall have spring again.” (The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S. Lewis)
Got caught up with the series and could come back to board . I stayed away in case of spoilers. I am always blown away with the quality of the skates especially by the hockey players. Sheldon Kennedy is amazing and now he is even smiling and having fun, after all he is 50 years old. And Meghan looks so different she must be looking forward to the baby.
The final episode is tomorrow evening, October 31st at 8 p.m. (9AT/9:30NT) on CBC and CBC Gem.
The winning couple will be announced, based solely on the fans voting after last week's performances which were not given judges' scores.
Apparently all of the competitors are back for the finale, there will be some group numbers, and, in preparation, they all enjoyed a game of shinny (hockey)!
