There have been technical difficulties with the live streams of the Jr Women SP - both DailyMotion and CBC are currently offline after the completion of the first 2 groups. As of 5:45 p.m. the 3rd group is warming up and being shown on both streams. I understand that the Internet went out in the arena

Even after they got it back, the commentators who were not in the arena did not have access to the scoring system as they normally do (and had had earlier in the day). We had video and commentary but not tied to the scores/downgrades, etc.

These three young women were on the podium at Novice nationals last year. Ksenia will reach international eligibility ahead of Lia, having a birthday on July 1st. Lia won't be age-eligible for the ISU Jr World Championships until 2027!

Competing at her first-ever National Championships, Lia Cho set a new junior women's record with a score of 188.79!

A great skate by Maddie - she obviously loves this program! The scores are all quite close below the top 3 and there could be some movement after the free skate.

What an amazing program by Maddie. I guess a lot of people contacted Ted about his phopha about her winning the Nationals last year when it was Kaila eh? lol

I'm looking forward to the Men's but I feel like the wind is out of the sails a bit with 2 top skaters not being able to attend. Wesley is sure missed and it's too bad he is off with injury.

Just a question here...I click on the link for the event, but there is no countdown which means it starts right away. Then there are 2 commericals and I'm missing the first minute. Does this happen to others too? I'm going to try the CBC Gem link this time and see if it makes any difference. Thanks for all the info.

I have mostly been watching on DailyMotion which includes some extra content not re-streamed by CBC.

The CBC player stream always opens with a couple of commercials, even if you try to get into it sometime after the start.

The Sr RD closed the first 1/2 of day 4.

The Sr Men's field was depleted even further today by the withdrawal of Aleksa Rakic before the FS. He has been ill with a respiratory virus and was struggling yesterday.

The bronze medallist was a big surprise. 17yo. David Li was 10th at Winter Youth Olympics last year. He was second in Canada at Jr level last year. He had two JGP this past season, 7th and 8th. His highest international score is 177.03. Today he had 197.99!

Grayson Long, who finished 4th, had a fractured ankle in October and was off the ice for 5 weeks. He was 7th in Jr at Canadians last year.
