This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.
There is nothing posted yet for the NAC event which takes place Friday & Saturday. It will feature invited U.S. & Canadian Novice singles and pair teams. The start orders should come up Thursday: http://skateabnwtnun.ca/nac-start-orders-and-results/
It is very nice to see the continuing success of a 2nd generation Canadian skater - novice skater Fiona Bombardier is the daughter of Josée Chouinard and her former husband Jean-Michel Bombardier. Along with her mother and twin brother, I watched Fiona compete at Minto Summer Skate just over a week ago, winning a medal in her group - her first year in novice competition. This past weekend Fiona won a silver medal in her flight of Novice Women at the Wild Rose competition.
She trains at the Richmond Training Centre (RTC) and is coached by Ken Rose, a former competitive skater himself.
Nice!! I look forward to seeing her compete more in the future.
