Looking back to Canadians in Ottawa in 1996

This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.

Looking back to Canadians in Ottawa in 1996

With the SkateGuard blog: http://skateguard1.blogspot.com/2020/09 ... ating.html

Lots of "blasts from the past" information and photos in the write-up! There is also a link to some video highlights digitized from VHS and put up on YouTube.

I remember being at what was then the Civic Centre in Ottawa for this 1996 event - thankfully they've done some upgrades on the building, now called the arena at TD Place. Hopefully at the 2022 Canadians there won't be pigeons flying around, insulation falling from the roof onto the ice, squirrels racing around, fire alarms, etc. - all things we have experienced at events there in the past :)
