Some skaters slowly returning to the ice

This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.

Some skaters slowly returning to the ice

Post by Elizabeth » Tue Jun 23, 2020 8:37 am

In interviews/chats we have been hearing reports of various rinks reopening, skaters being allowed to return to the ice under special conditions, etc. I have seen some photos from private clubs (like the Granite and Cricket) doing the same thing.

Here's an article about what's happening with the Mariposa School skaters: https://barrie.ctvnews.ca/mariposa-scho ... -1.4995250
The school has been skating out of the Allandale Recreation Centre and is already in its second week.

While athletes are happy to be back, there are many strict COVID-19 precautions in place, as advised by Skate Canada, Skate Ontario, the Simcoe Muskoka Health Unit and the City of Barrie.
