Your hosts at work:
There was a little magic evident in awarding the first ever ISU Lifetime Achievement Award - one that was not voted upon but certainly well deserved
WARNING - do not go on to the next post if you don't want to be further spoiled as to the award winners......

The show included interviews with all but one of the nominees and a musical "interlude" with Aloe Blacc and footage from Art on Ice featuring a number of skaters and some acts similar to those planned for the live show in Montreal.
In addition to the Lifetime Achievement Award, the winners were....
- Best Newcomer - Elena Kostornaia
- Best Coach - Eteri Tutberidze [the only nominee not available live]
- Best Choreographer - Shae-Lynn Bourne
- Best Costume - Madison Chock & Evan Bates (with Mathieu Caron) for their free dance costumes
- Most entertaining program - Papadakis & Cizeron for their "Fame" RD
- Most valuable skater - Yuzuru Hanyu

Oh, kind of deflating, I remember voting back then, but was perhaps a bit biased
I didn't watch the program though shouldn't really nag.

It's nice to see Shae-Lynn's name there for Choreography. She's always been a favourite of mine.

As you will have seen, she was up again Marie-France and Lori, so it was bound to be a Canadian winner. Shae-Lynn appeared quite shocked and Lori didn't look too pleased....
