Rescheduled ISU Skating Awards - took place July 11th, 2020
These awards, meant to close the 2020 Worlds in Montreal, will now be virtual - they are scheduled to take place online on July 11th @ 1600 CEST/1000 EDT, streaming on the Skating ISU YouTube channel.

The show included interviews with all but one of the nominees and a musical "interlude" with Aloe Blacc and footage from Art on Ice featuring a number of skaters and some acts similar to those planned for the live show in Montreal.
In addition to the Lifetime Achievement Award, the winners were....

- Best Newcomer - Elena Kostornaia
- Best Coach - Eteri Tutberidze [the only nominee not available live]
- Best Choreographer - Shae-Lynn Bourne
- Best Costume - Madison Chock & Evan Bates (with Mathieu Caron) for their free dance costumes
- Most entertaining program - Papadakis & Cizeron for their "Fame" RD
- Most valuable skater - Yuzuru Hanyu

Oh, kind of deflating, I remember voting back then, but was perhaps a bit biased I didn't watch the program though shouldn't really nag.

Well deserved and I am pleased the figure skating world recognized his huge talent and amazing contribution to the sport.

It's nice to see Shae-Lynn's name there for Choreography. She's always been a favourite of mine.

As you will have seen, she was up again Marie-France and Lori, so it was bound to be a Canadian winner. Shae-Lynn appeared quite shocked and Lori didn't look too pleased....
