Updated ISU guidelines for scoring - Jr & Sr singles & pairs

This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.

Updated ISU guidelines for scoring - Jr & Sr singles & pairs

Post by Elizabeth »

The ISU has released its updated guidelines for scoring singles & pairs elements, pending decisions of the ISU Congress (June).

There had been rumours of/references to upcoming changes, especially for the Pairs, during the Worlds in Montreal. Some Pairs mentioned having to delay finalizing their 2024/25 programs until the changes became official.

In Singles, for those wondering, the Euler isn’t going away, this just allows a three jump combo with a Euler. For example, a 3Lz-Eu-3S-2T is a three-jump, not four-jump combo according to these rules.

The ISU has also issued updated guidelines for Novice competitions, also pending decisions of the ISU June Congress in Las Vegas.
