Jackie Wong (RockerSkating) is posting practice notes on his website:

The view of the practice rink (in Verdun) this morning.

In the first two photos below you can see where the judges will be (at rink side) as well as the technical controller, assistant TCs, and announcers, etc. who will be seated above the judges. Note all the blacked out seats behind/near that area. I should be sitting on the aisle to the right of the smaller blacked out area at the end of the ice in about the 7th row. The Kiss 'n Cry is at the opposite end of the ice.
Pairs practice underway this morning at the Bell Centre
There were a few folks in the stands taking in the practice
This photo incorporates the Kiss 'n Cry end of the arena and you can see all the seats that have been "blacked out" - some of them actually had been sold and people are having to be relocated, they appear to be ones near the elevated TV booth in the corner to the right of the Kiss 'n Cry.
The "Mixed zone" where the quick post skate interviews with media will take place

Jackie Wong has provided a "sneak peak" at the Kiss 'n Cry which has now been "decorated" and seating added.

Although it is not yet fully "populated", the link is now available for the Entries/Start Orders/Results:
http://www.isuresults.com/results/season2324/wc2024/ The entries in each discipline are available now, along with the identity of the referees, technical controllers, technical specialists, etc.
It
appears that the streaming via the CBC Player or CBC Gem will be the ISU YouTube stream with commentary by Mark Hanretty.
For anyone who will be in the arena, it appears that Ted Barton will be doing some interviews, etc. that will be available on the "SkateBug" that Skate Canada has used in the past.

Have a wonderful time at Worlds Elizabeth! I look forward to hearing your "in person" account when you have the time. I had considered coming to see one or two events, but the single ticket prices are just too much.
I'm curious if you know why certain sections have been blacked out?? Is this to push the audience closer together so it looks like a more full area on television?

Many seats behind or near the judges are not sold on purpose. They are not always covered but are deliberately left empty. I presume this coverage is for the best appearance on TV.
The black out in one corner is because of obstructed view due to an elevated broadcast booth.
I am using my phone a moving train...
More later, I hope

If you see the two people in the front row at the end of the ice wearing American flag jackets, I am 6 rows above them toward the robot camera at the board level at the center of the end.

A very exciting first day of competition - some surprises; some disappointments; but lots of close scores. There is room for lots of changes in placement in the free skates.
The crowd was bigger than expected based on advance ticket sales and sooooo supportive of all the skaters
The 40 men start off today's competition followed by the Pars FS.
I hope those reading here are able to watch and enjoy even if some of the links for CBC might have changed and I have no way or time to correct them from my phone.
If you have not registered here with Fred in order to comment WHY NOT!?!?

We are wondering why Eteri Tutberidze is allowed to be here. Perhaps you already mentioned this but when she first appeared on the feed there was a noticeable groan from the audience. I thought coaches were banned too but It must be because the skater is from another country. It seems weird. Please tackle me next time you see me. I’ll try to find you if I can. We are seated in the 2nd row to the right of the big black camera behind where the flower girls and boys sit! Quite the men’s event!

The sanctions are only against skaters representing Russia or Belarus. That is due the breaking of the Olympic truce by the invasion of Ukraine. Many skaters are now representing other countries but may still be training in Russia and are using Russian coaches like Eteri. Her daughter is here representing Georgia in ice dance

Great day of skating!!!
Sorry that Riyuchi had a medical issue and they couldn't participate in the medal ceremony or press conference.

Thanks so much for the explanation! Missing you Heini! It’s been very nice to talk with you in person Elizabeth! I’m on my new iPad so just getting used to communicating this way. It’s a bit slower going at the moment. I may switch to my iphone.
It was a wonderful Pairs competition and the result was exciting. It’s unfortunate that the Japanese pair could not take part in the medals ceremony and that Riyuchi had a medical issue. She looked pretty pale herself. I didn’t see her hit the boards during the warmup but that’s what people are saying.

Looking forward to an exciting final day of competition, starting with the FD and then the Men.
Lots of sightings of both current and former skaters and coaches around the arena.
Enjoying the Skatebug commentary with Ted, Kaetlyn, and Paul.
The ISU ice dance technical committee has been here and I understand the official announcement about next season will be made tomorrow.
I suspect you have seen Keegan with his giant flag
Off in the snow for an exciting last day...

I'm still catching up on things but thought I would share some articles by Bev Smith that she posted during her time in Montreal as part of the media:
Here's a Christine Brennan article after the Saturday competitions - with a USA focus:
