This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.
Canadian Skaters to Compete in Final International Events of the Season
OTTAWA, ON (March 3, 2025) – This month, several of Canada’s top novice talents will close out their international competition season, while synchronized skating teams will have one final opportunity to compete prior to the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships in early April.
A total of twelve up-and-coming skaters will be competing in the advanced novice and junior categories at the Maria Olszewska Memorial, taking place in Lodz, Poland from March 5-9.
In the women’s event, Lia Cho will make her return to international competition after claiming the 2025 national title and breaking a Canadian record in her first season competing at the junior level. She will be joined by the 2025 national silver medalist, Ksenia Krouzkevitch, and four of the top novice women’s skaters who recently competed at the 2025 Skate Canada Trophy.
After setting a new novice men’s national record last month, 2025 Skate Canada Trophy gold medalist, Ethan Luo, will represent Canada internationally alongside silver medalist Rui Qin. In the pairs discipline, 2025 Skate Canada Trophy novice gold and silver medalists, Jaslynn Wong and Nico Conforti, and Ava Cheung and Stephen Lee, will compete in the advanced novice and junior categories respectively.
Later in the month, defending World Champions Les Suprêmes will be taking part in the 2025 Budapest Cup, held in Budapest, Hungary from March 15-16, 2025. The team will aim to secure a third straight international medal before heading to Helsinki, Finland for the world championships.
