Another new CDN pairs team - Proft and Nadeau

This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.

2016 Junior World silver medallist Nicolas Nadeau has retired from singles skating and partnered with Emmanuelle Proft to continue in pairs skating according to his post on Instagram. The image is obviously from some time ago but the post was done today.

There had been rumours of them trying out pairs - apparently they were true :)

Good luck to the new pair. It is quite exciting to realize that we are looking at an astonishing group of new talent (and experienced James/Redford) who will keep Canada on the Figure Skating map.

After competing in some competitions earlier this season, it appears that this team has opted to take the money offered in a 6-month contract touring/performing with Holiday on Ice in Europe making them unavailable for upcoming CDN competitions. This was confirmed by Emmanuelle's father, Norm Proft, in comments online.
