The number of pairs competing at this year's 4CC keeps going down!
First it was the third Chinese team which withdrew before the SP, apparently due to an injury suffered/exacerbated in practice after they arrived and the skate order draw was done.
Now the Knierims of the USA have withdrawn from the FS - I'm told the USFS initially Tweeted that it was due to "family illness" but that was deleted and the replacement just said that they had withdrawn.

Good results so far. I am always a bit sad when a competitor says "I was doing my job".

It seems that that particular competitor does not "connect" with the audience at all - that's something I noticed at Canadians. I would like to see a bit more "joy" or enjoyment when they are skating.happyheini wrote: ↑Sat Feb 08, 2020 12:52 pm Good results so far. Yuzu has now won his first 4CC and thus has completed what is being called a "super slam", having won the ISU championships at all the junior and senior events

Canadian competitors were on two podiums at the 2020 4CCs and will be bring home medals - instead of the usual flowers, the hosts presented the competitors with mascot "plushies".
