The Masters & Inaugural Augusta Women's Amateur Event

Post by kittykins »

Well, it's that time again and I don't know where the year has gone.

This year year they are starting with the Augusta Amateur Women's event. The golf channel will have highlights starting tomorrow, but it won't be shown live until Friday and Saturday. I'll see how much the Golf Channel shows which might be quite a bit. They will have one practice round on the course and the first time women have competed there I believe...should be interesting and will improve as the years go by I am sure. Here's the only Canadian, Brigitte Thibault, but she's quite good. Wow, to think she's only been involved in the sport for 5 years!

The Masters has always been one of my favourite sporting events of the year. Mike Weir is competing again. I am hoping for Bubba or Rory to win this year.

I've watched a bit the past couple of days. Tiger Woods is coming from behind, and if he doesn't win I will be very surprised. i think he's finding his groove. He's had 4 knee surgeries and 4 back surgeries apparently! :o Now two vertebrae are fused together or something. Anyway, he was pretty impressive today.
