ISU Jr. Grand Prix 2018/19 - Event #7 - Yerevan, Armenia - Oct. 10-13

This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.

A reminder that you can watch the event live on the SU JGP YouTube Channel and that there are also archived videos to watch at your leisure: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbv3gs ... Ct2JGySfJA

If you subscribe to the channel it lets the ISU know that their efforts and expense are appreciated and hopefully they will continue to do this into the future.

The ladies event has now been completed and the top two finishers have qualified to the JGPF where there will be 5 Russian Junior Ladies and 1 South Korean Junior Lady. The first alternate is also Russian!

Note that the top skater landed a 4 Lz as her opening jump - an historic first for a woman in ISU competition. Here's her FS: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heGvrtB-fvg

During the FS of Yuhana Yokoi of Japan there was some sort of "incident" with the music in the arena - there was an extended delay (about 8 minutes) before she could continue skating. Amazingly, she was able to hold it together after an excellent start and finished with the 2nd best free skate! Here's her full time on the ice - her FS in two parts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fSBYySX974

The qualifications for ice dance in the JGPF are now complete with 3 Russian couples, one US couple, one Canadian couple and one Georgian couple.

The final event in the final JGP of this season is the men's free skate - will Canada hold on for a medal here too? The start order: http://www.isuresults.com/results/seaso ... SEG002.HTM
