ISU Challenger series 2018/19 - 10 events - August-December (see also Event #5 - Autumn Classic in Oakville, ON)

This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.

It appears that Weaver and Poje are getting back into competiton :D

P.S. don't be confused by Skate Canada's typo of the year 2017 - this event is definitely in 2018 :) Here's the link if you want to buy tickets: https://skatecanada.ca/2018-autumn-clas ... rnational/

Skate Canada has announced that the live stream for this event will be available world wide. I'm sure that will be very popular with fans of a couple of skaters!!

Confirmed on today's JGP live stream - the announcer will be Ted Barton - he has a week off due from his ISU JGP duties are there are no JGP events next weekend :)

There have been some changes from the original entries, including a last-minute withdrawal of Alina Zagitova, apparently due to travel documentation issues which were realized at the airport when she tried to leave Moscow.

In the men's SP this morning, Artur Dmitriev RUS landed a unique & innovative combination - a triple lutz-triple flip. Here's a clip: https://twitter.com/i/status/1045681935530577921

Here's Artur in Oberstdorf with his father of the same name - a familiar figure from the past (but not in the shape we used to see him when he competed in pairs).

That free dance was exquisite!! I've been waiting to see this for so long, and have been communicating with Govardo, who collaborated on this version specifically for their free dance. It's such a wonderful story, and I think it's going to bring a LOT of attention to this busking duo from England, who make such beautiful music.

As I understand it, Govardo have never met Piper and Paul but were planning to go to Oberstdorf for the debut of the program. It's been a fabulous collaborative effort so far :)

Edited to add a photo of Piper & Paul with Jack & Dom of Govardo in Oberstdorf where they spent a week together.

Unfortunately the stream was lousy here. Keegan was excellent as usual.
