I've been very sick
There this "bug" going around and I thought I had beaten it with Oreganol. When a friend asked me to help them build a clothes line stand I said "Sure." It was a cool day with a slight rain drifting down. I've been dizzy and my memory has gone much worst. Last night I got up for one of several trips to the bathroom, and managed to pull the bureau down on myself. That was an experience I don't want to relive. I am starting to feel a little better, but my energy is low. ...

That does not sound good at all, Fred I would strongly suggest that you see your physician!

I generally read all the messages but it's too much to do it today I have a few things I have to do and then I want to sleep. If there's anything I should know someone can pass the message on.

I'm still here,... barely. I've got anti-biotics. May be a while yet.

Re: I've been very sick
I'm mostly recovered today. I went shopping for the first time yesterday and will do some more today. It saved me a lot of money, having no food for almost 2 weeks.
I'm on my final anti-biotic today and that has run it's course. I think I can pick up my health now with exercise & diet. I think I've lost considerable weight, not the way I'd like to do it, but a solid 2 weeks with no swollen ankles has been a bit of a treat. A lot of my stomach upsets may have been due to the anti-biotics. We'll find out in the next 24 hours.
A neighbour came over and got me to the doctor & my blood tests, X-Rays, & so on. She may have saved my life.
I've missed a lot of messages here, and I may not go back to read them all. Sorry. It's been just too much to cope with lately. All the best, everyone.

Hi Fred. I'm so glad you're doing a bit better. I've also experienced that anti-biotics are hard on the stomach. I hope you feel a little better each day!

I'm mostly recovered now and finished my course of antibiotics. I'm just very sleepy and probably in need of exercise too. I do feel I want to sleep a lot & so I do. Friends here are helping.

Glad you have friends nearby to help Fred. We've been worried about you. Our group is small and spread across the country (well, almost, anyone from NFld or the true north??) so we can only provide moral support.
Take care, eg don't go off riding your bike for miles! And eat well to help gain strength.

I had posted a message yesterday, which did not appear. So I add my words of encouragement. Take it easy look after yourself and take it one step at a time. Also, bake a cake for your neighbour who took you to the doctor

Re: I've been very sick
I'm building her a washstand to help reach her clothesline. In fact that was the start of this thing. I had beaten off some sort of a bug with Oreganol & warm rest the day before. I felt very strong and spent several hours designing & partially building this thing in the slight misty rain. Then I chopped a particularly difficult block of wood for her stove and that took some effort. Tired & cold, I came home and that was it for several days. She went off to St. Johns NFLD. to visit family and I didn't see her till she returned a day late due to weather.
I was never particularly uncomfortable, because part of whatever this thing was carried the delusion that everything was OK. I lost my medication schedule, because I didn't know what day it was nor could I even remember being on any sort of medication.
Things are going much better now, but my cat Clawdius may be living his last days. He's back to being dizzy & throwing up, and I know what that's like. No fun at all. The kindest thing I might be able to do for him is shorten his suffering. I'll talk to the Vet today & see what she says.

Re: I've been very sick
My cat "Clawdius" is showing signs of improvement. The Vet's office said they'd call me back and never did. I stayed home all day Monday waiting for that call. Anyway. I'm still fighting off the tail end of whatever it was I had, and it's shopping day today. Slow rain and not much wind here. Dull day but warm, relatively speaking. I'm being careful not to get too cold or tired.
