Russian Test Skates (Senior)

This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.

Russian Test Skates (Senior)

Post by Elizabeth »

Among those participating this weekend will be Evgenia Medvedeva. Tracy Wilson is already there with her and Brian Orser will be joining her after his duties with Joseph Phan in Riga at the JGP.

There is supposed to be a live stream but I'm ot sure if it's accessible from Canada: https://t.co/bYpqAyzovz?amp=1

Some photographic proof of Tracy's presence with Evgenia. The latter has been in Russia for some time, due to various commitments there, but has been doing some training with a Russian coach (not Eteri, her former coach) and keeping in touch with Tracy & Brian electronically.

Just watched the top pairs. Is it too soon to predict a Russian sweep at Worlds?

Wow - that new paring of STOLBOVA/NOVOSELOV is going to mean trouble for a lot of pairs teams. She looks as good (arguably better) as she did with Klimov, so early on in this partnership. It's a fantastic match, and I can't get over how much genuine affection she has for her new partner. With Klimov, she always looked pissed off with him, and like she couldn't bear to breathe the same air. In these videos, she seems overflowing with gratitude. I'm excited to watch them this season.
