However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.
Earlier this week Aliona Savchenko and her husband Liam Cross posted on Instagram that they are expecting a baby.
Now, Meagan Duhamel and Bruno Marcotte have shared their baby news via Twitter.

No, Fred, I don't believe Meagan ever spent any time at Minto. I believe you might be thinking of Valerie Marcoux who used to skate with Craig Buntin. Prior to Craig she skated with Bruno Marcotte who is now married to Meagan. Valerie was originally from Gatineau QC and retired in April 2007. She moved to Columbus, OH to coach; her boyfriend, a former university hockey player, had a business there. I believe they are now married.
Baby Zoey came early (today) and was small (4 lb. +) but apparently both mother and daughter are doing well - photos from Meagan & Bruno from Twitter & Instagram.
Congrats to both couples. I’m glad to see Zoey looks so alert and healthy. When I heard her weight I was a bit worried. However her mother is so small it make sense and hopefully easier on Mom as well. One of my first cousins was a pound at birth but miraculously she grew up with no problems. So, 4 sounds like a lot compared to one at least.
