ISU GP 2018/19 - Event #3 - Helsinki - Nov. 2-4

This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.

ISU GP 2018/19 - Event #3 - Helsinki - Nov. 2-4

This third event was originally to be held in China but, when that federation opted not to hold it, the ISU assigned it to Finland.

There have been changes in the skaters who will compete at this event from the original listings. There is currently a vacancy in ice dance as Chock & Bates of the USA have withdrawn. I expect that will be filled.

There are no Canadian skaters participating in this event.

There have been more changes - the ice dance roster is full once again but both the ladies and men are down to 11 entries. There are still no Canadian competitors in this GP event.

Thank you. The time change does make it a little confusing. So much for getting an extra hour of sleep for us skating fans (haha, I never do anyway).

Thanks for the info. about why it's in Finland...that certainly gave me a shock! :lol: There's so many Finnish people here...just like Finland (no joke)! :lol:

I'm getting a stupid message that I can't play the video on my browser. Is this because it's not airing yet? I've never run into this before and am getting the same message with all three browsers on my laptop. What browser are people using? Thanks. :? Ok, my issues are resolving here now that it's closer to the time, but I'm still interested in what browser people are using, Thanks. :roll:

I'm having no trouble at 1:13 PM Atlantic time. I use Firefox 63.0 64 bit.

I usually use Microsoft Edge but I downloaded Firefox and it seemed to work better. It was ahead in the stream compared to the other.

Sometimes you get funny messages if it's not yet time for the live stream to begin.

I use Firefox but I've only been home for an hour after being busy for 12+ hours at a volunteer commitment so have not looked at anything yet.
