This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.

Although I guess we can't really compare a senior event to junior one completely, here are their final point totals in summary...
At GTSA Summer Skate:
Nam: 262.11
Keegan: 242.07
JGP: Stephen 226.63
This will be an interesting Nationals in January. Guess those are "likely" to be the top 3.
Well, off to bed..."early" start tomorrow.
I look forward to being there and won't count out any possibilities at this time - ice is slippery
One really should never compare across events and certainly never between junior and senior - for the latter the program time and the elements are different; looking at the marks between CDN judging panels and international ones brings in yet another element of non-comparison.

Yes, that was what I was meaning and you made a good point about the difference in length of the performances. I think undoubtedly anything could happen.

Thanks. That's really horrible about the national anthem. All the Canadians could have sung it together.

Apparently the changes in scoring for this season (GOE values) were not properly applied to the rhythm dance at Event #1. Revised scores have been released:
The standings in each of the disciplines can be found on the ISU site - these will determine who gets to compete at the GPF in Vancouver in December. Four of the seven events have now been completed and the standings have been updated:
There is one Canadian couple qualified for the JGPF in Vancouver. They will be joined by 3 couples from RUS, one from the USA and one from GEO.
With the results of the final qualifying event, the USA has three Junior Men qualified for the JGPF. Joining them will be a Russian man, a Japanese man and a French man. Canada's Stephen Gogolev is the first alternate.[/url]
