US ice dancers Hawayek & Baker moving to Montreal to train

This is where we discuss figure skating and skating related items. How did you favourite skaters perform, and so on? However we never speculate on the private lives of skaters, like who might be going out with whom, because that is poison and is not tolerated here. A good guideline is that if it's not publicly announced, in the papers etc. then it's probably best to leave it alone. Is it a gray area? Then write to me and ask.

Kaitlin Hawayek and Jean-Luc Baker to Train in Montreal
(4/20/18) – Kaitlin Hawayek and Jean-Luc Baker announced today they will begin training with Marie France Dubreuil and Patrice Lauzon this summer in Montreal, Canada. The team had trained under Pasquale Camerlengo and Angelika Krylova in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan since 2012.

“We are incredibly grateful for everything that Pasquale and Angelika and the rest of our team in Detroit have done for us over the past six years,” Hawayek said. “They’ve given us invaluable lessons and helped us grow as skaters immensely.”

“As this new season begins, we are incredibly excited to be joining Marie France and Patrice and their team at Gadbois and starting this next chapter of our careers in Montreal,” Baker continued.

In 2018, Hawayek and Baker won the U.S. pewter medal, won gold at Four Continents and finished 10th at the World Championships.

It seems Marie-France and Patrice and Brian are doing something right. Gold Medal winners and many skaters joining their training base. Exciting times ahead.
